Research area
My research interests lie in 3D computer vision and, in particular, 3D scene understanding. I am an ETH AI Center Post-Doctoral Fellow where I work closely together with Prof. Siyu Tang and Prof. Otmar Hiliges at the intersection of scene understanding and human body pose estimation towards the goal of modelling high-level interactions between both.
Before joining the ETH AI Center, I completed my Ph.D. in the Computer Vision Groupcall_made at RWTH Aachen advised by Prof. Bastian Leibecall_made. My Ph.D. thesis is titled “3D Scene Understanding on Point Cloudscall_made”. During my PhD, I had the opportunity to spend time at Apple in California working on 3D vision, at Google AI in Zurich working with Prof. Vittorio Ferraricall_made and Dr. Konstantinos Rematascall_made, and also at X, the moonshot factory (previously Google X), in Munich, working with Dr. Martin Bokelohcall_made and Dr. Alireza Fathicall_made. Previously, I received my M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in computer science from RWTH Aachen Universitycall_made.
