Research area
My research interests lie in 3D computer vision and, in particular, 3D scene understanding. I am an ETH AI Center Post-Doctoral Fellow where I work closely together with Prof. Siyu Tang and Prof. Otmar Hiliges at the intersection of scene understanding and human body pose estimation towards the goal of modelling high-level interactions between both.
Before joining the ETH AI Center, I completed my Ph.D. in the Computer Vision Group at RWTH Aachen advised by Prof. Bastian Leibe. My Ph.D. thesis is titled “3D Scene Understanding on Point Clouds”. During my PhD, I had the opportunity to spend time at Apple in California working on 3D vision, at Google AI in Zurich working with Prof. Vittorio Ferrari and Dr. Konstantinos Rematas, and also at X, the moonshot factory (previously Google X), in Munich, working with Dr. Martin Bokeloh and Dr. Alireza Fathi. Previously, I received my M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in computer science from RWTH Aachen University.
