ELLIS
European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent System
The ETH AI Center is part the ETH efforts in the external pageEuropean Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent System (ELLIS). ELLIS is a pan-European nonprofit organization for the promotion of artificial intelligence with a focus on machine learning. The organization's goal is to establish top AI research institutes, strengthen basic research and create a European PhD programme for AI external page(Wikipedia).
The ELLIS network aims to connect European research institutes in the Artificial Intelligence domain to achieve three goals:
- Attract and enable the best minds
- Regional machine learning ecosystems
- Bring Europe‘s leading AI hotspots together
At the ETH AI Center, we commit to these goals by offering research fellowships, industry collaborations and an entrepreneurship program for startups and future entrepreneurs.
The ELLIS network includes relevant European research institutions in the artificial intelligence domain, including EPFL, University of Oxford, Max Planck Institutes, and external pagemany more.
