For students, we want to provide a single point-of-contact and bring together an overview of opportunities on how to engage in the field of AI. Below is a collection of education opportunities provided across all departments. As a new flagship instrument to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, the ETH AI Center also has dedicated funding through its fellowship programmes.
For PhD students
In addition to directly approaching a potential supervisor of the ETH AI Center faculty, there are several funding opportunities available to pursue a PhD in AI-related areas:
- ETH AI Center PhD Fellowships: to advance interdisciplinary AI and impact-oriented research that shapes the future of AI

For Bachelor & Master students
If you want to focus your studies towards AI-related fields, ETH offers the following study courses:
- Master in Data Science: A specialized Master program to meet the demand in the area. It will be coordinated by the ETH AI Center.
- Master in Robotics, Systems & Control: A specialized Master program focussing on Robot Design, Modeling and Control, Systems Engineering, Physical Modeling and Simulation, Optimisation and Control, Perception, Graphics, Virtual Reality, Navigation and Path Planning, Embedded and Distributed Computing, Artificial Intelligence.
Continued Education
ETH offers the following study course:
- DAS Data Science: A continuing education program that covers the field of data science, with an interdisciplinary viewpoint. It will be coordinated by the ETH AI Center.
