AI for Education R&D

Part of ETH Zurich’s Rectorate and based at the ETH AI Center, our research and development group explores how artificial intelligence can strengthen teaching, learning, and assessment. We combine applied research, experimentation, and hands-on development to turn new ideas into practical educational tools.

Our starting point is what helps people learn.

We develop AI-supported educational tools to support and extend research-based teaching and assessment practices, while exploring approaches that were previously difficult to implement at scale. Working with educators and students, we test our approaches, examine their limitations, and share what we learn. We are committed to open-source development, transparency, equitable access, and human agency - keeping educators and learners at the center of innovation.
